MEET YOUR GUIDE

Hi there! My name is Chantal and I am Toronto Cemetery Tours. I research, write, and lead all of the tours myself. So how does someone start leading cemetery tours? Let me tell you! I hail from the Great White North - Sault Ste. Marie to be exact - but I’ve called Toronto home for more than 20 years. I’ve always had an interest in local history, but it wasn’t until I attended my first cemetery tour in 2016 that I realised I love how the two go together! I am particularly passionate about telling the stories of the many women in Toronto’s past who are often overlooked in the history books. When I’m not working on cemetery research, I work in a hospital laboratory or can be seen out running.

Toronto Cemetery Tours is an historic walking tour series based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Public and private tours are held in a variety of the city’s most historic cemeteries including Mount Pleasant Cemetery and the Toronto Necropolis.
